Wanna twirl with Amethyst and me?

If the answer is yes, I have the perfect pattern suggestion for you! Say hola to the Lennon! This pattern from Petite Stitchery will have you and your child getting dizzy from all the twirls. I love this pattern because, aside from the twirl factor, it gives a cute gogo retro look alone. I’ll talk a little more about this pattern soon, but let’s get straight into the quick deets.

Lennon

• Available in youth and adults.
•  Youth’s chest goes up to 34″
•  Adult chest goes up to “59
•  Two lengths, mini and long mini dress
•  Tank, short, and 3/4 sleeve options
•  Crew neck and scoop necklines
•  This pattern comes with shorts that are available in shorties and biker lengths.
•  Available in letter/A4, A0, and Projector(B&W and Color)

When this pattern went into testing, we were warned that it would be a fabric hog. Because of this, I bought 5 yards for myself and 4 yards for Amethyst. I may have been too dramatic on the yardage. I think I used almost four yards for myself (XXL, 1X), and Amethyst(5) only took 2 yards. The bonus is that these fabrics can easily be used for other projects.

The construction of this pattern is easy! There are 8 godets total, but clipping them to the bodice and sewing them was pretty soothing. If you have a movie or show to watch while working on this, I recommend it!

Oh! This fabric is a brushed DTY from Fabric Wholesale Direct. I discovered this fabric a couple of years ago and have been a sucker for it since! It’s super soft and stretchy! This fabric was the perfect weight for this dress. Amethyst was dizzy a couple of times because of her obsession with seeing the twirl in her Lennon.
