I’m so excited to finally share something I’ve been wanting for years—and I’ve finally added it to my collection: Transitions lenses!

I’ve thought they were the coolest thing ever since I first heard about them, and with how much technology has advanced, the urge to get a pair has only grown stronger. So let’s talk about it!

Honestly, the hardest part wasn’t picking the lenses—it was choosing the frames! I’ve been a loyal Zenni customer since 2014, and their frame selection is massive. I’ve hearted so many pairs to my wishlist over the years, but some styles always steal my heart—especially browline glasses.

Since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by Malcolm X. The way he carried himself was deeply inspirational to me, especially as a shy and insecure kid. Watching movies and reading about his life made him one of my lifelong idols. While browline glasses were popular among many during that era, I’ll always associate them with the great El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz—better known as Malcolm X. To me, his glasses symbolize strength, intelligence, and pride.
