Hey y’all!
Here’s another banger from George and Ginger!
Whewww, Kristi, the owner and designer of George and Ginger never fails to disappoint! I get so excited when she puts a pattern in testing because her talent is undeniable. I’m more than likely going to see a pattern that stands out!
And this Trefoil pattern? It does just that!
You can either make a simple hoodie or hoodie dress or turn it up a notch with a statement piece. But you all know how I’m always down to make a statement! But first, let’s get into these options.
- Crop & Full length hoodie with optional kangaroo pocket
- Sleeve options: Cropped, full-length, & pleated sleeves
- Skirt options: basic, ruched, & ruffle skirt
- Ears: Cat, bear, bunny, fox-like, & dino spikes
SO. MANY. OPTIONS. So many combinations. My next one will probably be the cropped hoodie with pleated sleeves. Although there are different sleeve options, pleated sleeves are always going to be my first choice. It is the reason why I love the Selfie shirt(Also from G&G) so much. PLEAT SLEEVE ME UP!
Now, before I show these pictures, let’s talk about this fabric from Minerva!
I have been part of the Minerva ambassador team for about a couple of months now. I absolutely love the quality of Minerva’s fabrics and the processing times. They have such a range of fabrics available, and it’s perfect for one to buy fabrics they are familiar with and try out some new bases.
This fabric is Minerva’s Core range faux leather. I chose this fabric for other plans; it was perfect timing for this test to appear from George & Ginger. I always get a little nervous when working with faux leather, so I was elated that the make and sewing experience was smooth sailing. This color and the stretch are what’s going to keep me coming back for more! I still want to make a jacket. Someone remind me of this in a couple of weeks. 😀

The only thing I regret is not wearing fishnet stockings during this photoshoot. Otherwise the make and fabric are both a swoon-worthy combo! With so many options I could see myself making one for every season.

Have a ball, yall!
