Hey hey heyyyy my beautiful people!
Sooooo I’m tardy to the party with this post. I know some of you have already seen this through photos on other social medias but I kept making more and I think now I can be content with showing how many I have thus far.
But yall, FINALLY! I got a pattern named after me. * squeals * I love this particular pattern being named after me because this pattern has two things that I love. Slits and Maxi length. Honey, Michelle was spot on for designing this beauty and naming after me because this has me written all over it….literally!
The Kamali skirt is an easy and quick sew! Which made it easy for me to make 7 or 8 of them. Let’s get into some deets to find which options youd like the most.
QUICK DEETS
- Available in Letter, A0, & Projector
- Available in two fit options; Swing or Sheath
- 3 lengths
- Slits! Two slits, one slit, no slits whatever you want!
- Slits have several heights. In my photos you will only see one and thats the highest because….thighs.
- Two waistbands (I love the contour)
- Fits waists up to 57″ and fits hips up to 64″
Grab your lightweight knits with some drape and lets go to work. I have used an athletic knit, cotton spandex, pleather, and DBP for mine. All of them worked beautifully!
Let’s get into these photos!

This was made for Pride! I color blocked the center piece using scraps and this was heavily and I mean HEAVILY complimented! I could see myself color blocking the panel again. Ohhhh…maybe with some African prints!

I designed this fabric! I drew up the design and got it printed from PurpleSeamstress. This is in a DBP and I love how the print turned out but would love to do this in another base. Worked well for the Kamali & Scarlett crop combo!

Bayyybeeee. This red did something to me now! Kali & Kamali! Red is such a powerful color and it looks reallll good on sun kissed skin. I was desperate for a solid color and was short on time so I bought a 5 yard cut from Amazon. Amazon is not a place I think of when I want to order fabric, but I did this time. Boo for Joann not being around.

As you can see, I love me some maxi lengths. But this time I changed it up and made the shortest length! Did I already mention that this pattern goes amazingly with the Auren pattern? They were both released at the same time and are a match made in heaven. This pleather is from Minerva and gave some edge to this fit!

SPARKLE!! I felt like a fairy in this one. The reason why I keep trying the swing version is the twirl! The middle photos shows the twirl. That air hit in between the slits and gave a dramatic look in the back. I love it!

Ahh, this printtttt! This was from Minerva! This is a printed on demand athletic fabric. I love the way it moves! And the fabric being cool to the touch was perfect for summer weather! This Kamali was paired with a Corinne bodice.

Okay this is the latest one! I cannot say the last one. I literally plan on making another one for Dia de los Muertos en lace! I’ll post those photos on my Instagram! This one here is made with ITY from Boho Fabrics! Gorgeous drape and cool to the touch, another fabric fit for warm weather!
Which one of these did you like the best? You can grab this pattern using my affiliate link here.
Happy sewing yall!
