I am elated to talk to you about one of my favorite parts of styling—glasses! For years, I’ve been obsessed with glasses. I figure if I’ve had to wear them since middle school, I might as well add some flair to them!
If I had to pinpoint exactly when my collection started to grow, it was probably when I started sewing. Over the years, I’ve made so many outfits in different aesthetics. Naturally, I started buying more pairs of glasses to match the clothes I sew. It’s all about *variety*!
Love Day is coming up REAL soon, and I noticed I was missing a red pair. My friends over at Zenni not only have a great collection of red frames, but they’ve even curated a Valentine’s Day collection for us all to fall in love with.
WHY ZENNI?
I’ve been a Zenni Optical customer since 2014, and I love them for a few reasons. Let me break it down:

When I heard about the Valentine’s Day collection, I had a HARD time picking which ones to add to my collection. I love Valentine’s Day, but these glasses can be worn year-round!
Alas, I decided on this pair!
Here’s why:
- I needed a new cat-eye frame in my collection.
- It’s red—a very noticeable red! I don’t have a pair like this, and I wear a lot of red. (I’m pretty sure it’s just my color—I look damn good in red!)
- This pair reminds me of Linda from Bob’s Burgers. I have a cosplay plan, and these frames mean one less thing to worry about. Next up: finding the perfect fabric for the outfit!
One of these days, I’m finally going to grab a pair of transition lenses, and I don’t care who thinks it’s corny! I’ve been wanting them forever, but I always get caught up in Zenni’s amazing prices for the clear lenses and forget to buy a pair of transitions. This time, I opted for the clip-ons instead. Fingers crossed I actually remember to bring them with me when I go outside!
