Dawson

Heyy y’all!

It’s swimsuit season! This is the time of the year when multiple pattern companies test and release patterns for us to make and put to use in the warmer months.

Petite Stitchery has released not one, not two, but FOUR swim patterns. They were not playing this season! And even though I tested two of them, I could see myself wearing ALL of these. I mean that!

As you see in the title this is the Dawson! A rash guard color-blocked swim set with shorties that is so trendy and sure to make a statement.

Fabric Info

This fabric is from Fabric and Flow! Myself and a few other testers had the opportunity to test the swim patterns and use F&F’s fabric as a cross promotion. I initially chose black, pink, and neon green. However, the green was not available for purchase and I made another choice for the purple. I am thankful for this second choice because look at how well these three colors look together! After receiving the fabric, sewing with them, and wearing this set, I am a fan of the quality of their fabrics! I say a bit more about these fabrics in the Cove post. I definitely have this business on my radar for fabric purchases now.

The wavy seams are what will have me coming back for more! I cant help but see this pattern and think of doing one in red, black, & green. Y’all know I love a make with Pan African colors! I would also love to make this in some athletic fabric as well.

Happy Sewing!
