Hello my beautiful people!
I’ve been a bit quiet over here and wanted to share a quick message about my absence!
For the past year I have been wanting to shift my content on this space. I still plan on showing off my sewing makes because sewing is my love. As cliche as it sounds, having a craft such as sewing is a form of therapy to me. However, I want you all to see MORE of me than just sewing. I want to share more personal content such as my thoughts, parenthood & wifehood journey, childhood experiences, interests outside of sewing, etc.
Life has been a challenge lately. When I would think about my goals for this blog I was optimistic! Then I was facing hardships and was VERY close to closing it all down. There has been so much that has happened lately but I am grateful to have an amazing husband and loving kiddos to be my peace and my WHY. They are my home and I never take them for granted.
These struggles I have been going through have lit a fire under my butt! I often get frustrated that it takes for hard struggles before my vision and actions work together. You hear about successful business people or those on a health journey and they say that they hit rock bottom and worked their way up. I would always tell myself;
“Kamali, don’t wait ’til you hit rock bottom before making necessary changes.”
The thing is, I just wanted to be able to testify that I was able to turn things around without life kicking my ass. But you know what? Life has been kicking my ass repeatedly y’all. And this was the push I needed.
I’ve been accepting it and just keeping myself accountable with showing up. That’s what’s important right? Showing up! And that’s what I am striving for on a daily basis. I look forward to you all seeing more than just a small glimpse in my life.
As for sewing, lets end this with four of my favorite makes since the last time y’all saw me!

-Kamali
